 Chris Devine is a musician of diverse talents, performing on electric and acoustic violin, mandolin, and guitar, as well as flute, saxophone, and keyboard. He received his Bachelor of Music degree in violin from the University of Massachusetts, where he studied with internationally known concert violinist Julian Olevsky. As a session musician he has appeared on over 100 CDs in many different styles of music, including classical, jazz, pop, country, and folk. As a composer, he is a contributor to the Fresh Music Library, an international commercial music supplier and has written the music and lyrics to three musicals sponsored by the Massachusetts Arts Lottery. His compositions and performances have been aired on Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, PBS and the Weather Channel. From 2000 to 2002, Chris toured Europe and Russia extensively as a featured soloist with Blackmore's Night, starring influential guitarist Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple, and also appeared on their CD "Fires at Midnight". He has also been appearing with The Bobby Darling Show, a Northeast-based music and comedy quartet, since 1989.



 Jim Henry is an acclaimed singer/songwriter as well as being one of New England's most sought-after session guitarists. The Kansas native has recorded with dozens of artists, including Brooks Williams, The Nields, and Erica Wheeler, and performed with Dar Williams, David Bromberg, Bill Monroe, Peter Ostrusko, and Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown. His 3 CDs, Into the Blue, Jacksonville and The Wayback, feature Jim's tasteful and virtuosic fretwork on guitar, mandolin, and dobro, as well as his fine vocals. Sing Out magazine, in a review of The Wayback, says: "Henry demonstrates not only an adept talent for writing songs that tell good stories, but also the ability to present them in a number of evocative settings."


Guy DeVito is a freelance bassist and record producer who in 1969 was a founding member of the rock group FAT, recording for RCA, Atlantic and their own Dream Merchant Records. Guy has performed and recorded with many artists since, including:
Felix Pappalardi, John Kay and Steppenwolf, Stevie Wonder, Matt "Guitar"Murphy, Danny Johnson and closer to home, Little Jimmy and the Bad Boys, Joel Zoss, The Shaboo Allstars, Jeff Pevar ,the Colbys,and now The Hot Club of Amherst.

Andrew Lawrence is best known in Western Massachusetts as the lead instructor and facilitator of of the Pioneer Valley Acoustic Guitar Network. An avid guitarist for over 25 years, he has worked extensively as a both an accompanist and as a singer-songwriter in his own right with two CDs to his credit. His extensive knowledge of the Hot Club repertoire and the Django Reinhardt guitar style are prominently featured with the HCA.  


Doug Bliss A western MA native, Doug began his musical journey some forty years ago. His love of music and guitars has been a sustaining passion in his life. He has performed throughout Massachusetts as a sideman with various groups covering swing, country and blues music. During the 90's, he enjoyed the balmy breezes of Sarasota, FL and played with Dan Electro and the Silvertones, a local blues unit. During his Florida tenure, Doug was fortunate to share the stage with members of the Allman Brothers Band, Bad Company, Kansas, and the Outlaws.The Hot Club of Amherst is proving to be his most challenging and rewarding musical endeavor, thus far.
